"The share of Azerbaijani citizens in the total number of foreigners who visited Turkey during the reporting period amounted to 1.62 percent," the message said.
Some 718,556 tourists from Azerbaijan visited Turkey from January through September 2019, which is 5.51 percent more compared to the same period of 2018.

In September 2019, over 5.4 million tourists visited Turkey, which is 13.23 percent more compared to September 2018.
During the reporting period, 2.1 million tourists visited Antalya, and 1.4 million tourists visited Istanbul.
Over 36.4 million tourists visited Turkey from January through September 2019, which is 14.50 percent more compared to the same period of 2018.
