Five Hospitalized After Chlorine Leak at Apple Data Center
According to WCNC news channel, the workers called the emergency services at about 2:00 p.m. on Monday. They were then taken to Catawba Valley Medical Center feeling "dizzy and lightheaded."
Five people were taken to the hospital after being exposed to a chlorine leak at the Apple’s data center in Maiden, North Carolina, local media reported.

According to a comment by Apple cited by WCNC, later in the day all the five workers were released from the hospital feeling well. They are expected to return back to work Tuesday.

“The spill was quickly contained and poses no threat to anyone else at the facility," Apple said as quoted by WCNC.

Apple’s Maiden data center opened in 2011 occupies 183 acres which makes it one of the largest of its kind in the world. Apple has pledged to invest $1 billion into it over a decade.
