Former UK Liberal Democrats Leader Kennedy Dies at 55
Charles Kennedy, the former leader of UK Liberal Democratic Party, died at the age of 55, his family said Tuesday cited by local media.
According to the family, Kennedy passed away in his Scotland home, and his death is not deemed suspicious. The cause of death is yet to be confirmed.

Kennedy headed the party from 1999 until 2006.

The former Liberal Democrat leader lost his seat in Ross, Skye and Lochaber constituency in Scotland, to a member of Scottish National Party in May 7 general elections. Kennedy was the parliamentarian for the constituency from 1983 to 2015.
