Almost all tickets sold for European Games opening ceremony in Baku
Eighty percent of the tickets for the opening ceremony of the first European Games have already been sold, the message of the Baku European Games Operation Committee (BEGOC) said June 2.
Tickets worth 20 manats and 200 manats have been completely sold out, only tickets worth 50 manats and 100 manats remained, according to the message.

Also, the message said that tickets for competition in gymnastics, wrestling, swimming and boxing are being sold most of all. Foreigners prefer to buy tickets online, the message said.

Baku 2015 is the first-ever European Games, an exciting and innovative multi-sport event for the continent that will take place from 12 – 28 June 2015.

There will be a total of 20 sports at Baku 2015: 16 Olympic sports and four non-Olympic sports. Almost 6,000 athletes from across Europe will be representing their nations over 17 days of competition.

The European Olympic Committees (EOC) awarded the games to Baku in December 2012. The Baku European Games Operations Committee (BEGOC) will organize and run the Games in cooperation with the EOC.
