Barcelona crowned Champions League winners
Spanish heavyweights Barcelona won the UEFA Champions League title by beating Italian giants Juventus 3-1 in the final at Olympiastadion in Berlin on Saturday evening.
The Spanish La Liga and Copa del Rey champions completed the "treble" by snatching the Champions League trophy away from the Turin club.

Barcelona made a flying start to the game when their Croatian midfielder Ivan Rakitic finished in the penalty area in the fourth minute, with Andres Iniesta coming up with the slick assist.

Barcelona headed to the dressing room with the one-goal lead.

In the second half, Juventus equalized in the 55th minute when Juve`s Spanish striker Alvaro Morata followed the rebound deflected by Barca goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

But it didn’t take long before Barcelona sprang back into the lead. In 68’, Argentine star Lionel Messi attempted to score from outside and Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon saved it, only to fall prey to Barca striker Luis Suarez who pursued the loose ball and finished in the box: 2-1.

Four minutes later, Barcelona`s third goal by Neymar was disallowed on the grounds that the Brazilian star scored with his hand.

With only moments to go in injury time, Neymar hit the target on a counter attack, sealing the victory for the Catalans.

This is Barcelona’s fifth Champions League triumph.
