Giving information on the working principles of the Council in the election period, Amashov spoke about some directions: 1) monitoring of election materials by mass media, which have an impact on public opinion, 2) to open up opportunities for reporters to carry out their professional duties on voting day. For this purpose, the Council will launch a hotline on voting day and reporters will be able to report any obstacles they may face. Another direction is related to observation to be made by Press Council’s Board Members in election constituencies and polling stations. They, in turn, will get acquainted with the opportunities created for reporters.
