  Project on judicial settlement of election disputes launched

Within the framework of the Central Election Commission's joint project with the Supreme Court and the courts of appeal, regional seminar-consultations dedicated to the judicial resolution of electoral disputes have begun.

The aim of the project is to take all steps to organize a high-level, free and fair elections to the Milli Majlis, scheduled for February 9, to raise awareness of the relevant courts and constituency election commissions in addressing the resolution of electoral disputes, to increase effectiveness of the work carried out in this direction, as well as, to ensure citizens’ electoral rights more effectively, reports.

The opening ceremony of the project which took place on Jan. 22 at the Boulevard Hotel in Baku and the first seminar-meeting started with the opening remarks of Chairman of the Central Election Commission Mazahir Panahov.
