According to Articles 1.1.19, 1.1.20, 40.4 - 40.6, 44 of the Electoral Code, the citizen of the Republic of Azerbaijan, who has active suffrage (on his own initiative, on the initiative of a registered candidate, political party, a bloc of political parties, non-governmental organization working in the field of elections, international (foreign) observers) shall be registered at the Central Election Commission in accordance with the law 10 days prior to the day of official publication of the order on the holding of elections, secki-2020.az reports.
The same period for the elections to the Azerbaijani Parliament covered the timeframe up to January 30.
At the same time, a deadline for a citizen of the Republic of Azerbaijan, who has an active suffrage (on his own initiative, on the initiative of a registered candidate, political party, a bloc of political parties, non-governmental organization working in the field of elections) for applying to the Central Election Commission before a voting day in order to obtain special permission to observe the meetings of election commissions expired on January 30.
The Central Election Commission has registered 1860 observers to monitor elections in all the constituencies of the Azerbaijan Republic.
