The Central Election Commission (CEC) has issued a warning to Faraj Guliyev, whose candidacy was registered in Surakhani II election constituency #31. On February 5, the CEC considered the complaint filed by Mehman Huseynov, the registered candidate in Surakhani II election constituency #31 regarding Faraj Guliyev, another registered candidate in the constituency, secki-2020.az reports. M. Huseynov's complaint was upheld partially. The CEC adopted a decision on issuing a warning to Faraj Guliyev.
Note that Mehman Huseynov, the registered candidate in Surakhani II election constituency #31, has posted on social media an audio recording of his conversation with Faraj Guliyev. In the audio recording, Faraj Guliyev offers Mehman Huseynov to withdraw his candidacy in exchange for 15,000 manat.
Guliyev said in a statement to the press that the recording belonged to him but it has been edited.
