Erdogan to temporarily hand over powers to ex-CHP leader
During the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s visit to Azerbaijan his powers will be handed over to the ex-leader of the Republican People’s Party (CHP) Deniz Baykal, the Hurriyet newspaper reported June 10.

Baykal, elected to Turkey’s parliament, will be the oldest MP. He will be elected the parliament’s speaker.

Under the Turkish laws, in the absence of the country’s president, his powers are transferred to the speaker of the parliament.

Erdogan will be in Baku to observe the opening ceremony of the first-ever European Games.
