Lithuanian youth organizations protest diplomats` Karabakh remarks
The audio-recording of a telephone conversation of Lithuanian diplomats concerning Karabakh that was posted on You Tube has been a source of anxiety both in Azerbaijani and Lithuanian public and also among the young people, it says in a statement issued by the Azerbaijani Youth Organization of Lithuania (AYOL).
Close cooperation with the local youth organizations and cooperation enables the youth to respond to such unpleasant cases in time, the statement says.

The European Youth Parliament, Democratic Policy Institute, Youth Organizations of Labor Party, Youth Organization of Crimean Tatars and Union of Volunteers of Lithuania and other youth organizations based in Lithuania have sent a letter to the Foreign Ministry of Lithuania along with AYOL.

In their letter, the youth organizations expressed their disappointment over the recent events, AYOL Chairman Samir Musayev said.

The young people demanded the diplomats to apologize for their remarks so that not to let the recent events harm the friendly ties and cooperation between the youth and youth organizations of the two countries.

Founded on 26 June 2012 with the support of the Azerbaijani embassy in Lithuania, AYOL aims to bring together Azerbaijani youth living and studying in Lithuania and represent Azerbaijan in that country with dignity.
