 Azerbaijan Innovation House opened in Silicon Valley

"INNOLAND" Incubation and Acceleration Center held the opening ceremony of the Azerbaijan Innovation House at the Stanford University, Silicon Valley,  the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of Azerbaijan said. AzVision.az reports.

The ceremony was attended by about 100 Azerbaijanis working in the field of innovation and high technologies in Silicon Valley and nearby areas. 

Jeyhun Salmanov Deputy Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan highlighted the significance of the Azerbaijan Innovation House in the field of innovative development in Azerbaijan.

The innovation house will play the role of a bridge between Azerbaijan and Silicon Valley, bringing together the startups built by Azerbaijanis living in the United States. Also, it will support local people, who are involved in startup projects, to travel to Silicon Valley, to gain experience and improve their startups. 

The ceremony also featured the first forum of the Tech Diaspora recently established on the initiative of Azerbaijanis abroad. 

The main goals of the establishment of the "Tech Diaspora" are to develop the startup ecosystem in Azerbaijan and to strengthen the relationship between Azerbaijanis working in the field of innovative technologies and our country.

The operation of diasporas will allow to closely follow the trends in the field of technologies and apply those technologies in Azerbaijan.
