No political prisoners in Azerbaijan, says top official

No political prisoners in Azerbaijan, says top official

There are no political prisoners in Azerbaijan, said the Azerbaijani president’s aide for public and political affairs, Ali Hasanov.

He made the remarks during the press conference on the First European Games with participation of the local and foreign media representatives.

There are people who have been imprisoned on different charges in Azerbaijan, he said, adding that the court has made decisions regarding them.

No executive power can doubt the court decision, according to the top official.
