Heads of the Russian and Ukrainian delegations denied some media reports of the alleged brawl between the athletes from the two countries in Baku.
No brawl occurred between the Russian and Ukrainian athletes in Baku, head of the Russian delegation at the Baku 2015 European Games, Igor Kazikov told TASS news agency.
Chef de Mission of the Ukrainian team Anna Sorokina also denied this sort of news.
Sorokina told apasport.az that no brawl happened between the Russian and Ukrainian athletes in the Athletes Village in Baku.
Sorokino mentioned that the Ukrainian Embassy has sent to relevant authorities two information notes demanding the removal of false information.
Some media outlets reported that athletes from Russia and Ukraine had a brawl in the Athletes Village in Baku. The brawl was settled by the interference of the safeguards.
