Opposition of Turkey puts forward conditions for creation of coalition gov
The Turkish opposition Republican People`s Party (CHP) has put forward conditions for the creation of a coalition government with the Justice and Development Party (AKP), the Turkish TV channel Kanal7 said June 12.
In accordance with conditions of the opposition, the party leader Kemal Kilicdaroglu should become prime minister of the country for two years, according to the channel.

In addition, the Turkish parliament should be headed by one of the members of the CHP.

The opposition also demands the appointment of ministers of justice, internal affairs and education from the number of MPs from the CHP.

On June 7, Turkey held parliamentary election, which involved 20 political parties. Some 53,765,231 people cast their votes in the election.

Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu has submitted a resignation letter June 9.

The Turkish president accepted the resignation of the prime minister, but Davutoglu will officiate until the formation of the new government.

The voting results in Turkey’s June 7 parliamentary election are as follows: the ruling Justice and Development Party garnered 40.9 percent of the vote, the Republican People’s Party (CHP) – 25 percent, the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) – 16.3 percent, the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) – 13.1 percent.

Other political parties as a whole gathered 4.7 percent of the vote.
