The professional holiday of employees of Azerbaijan’s security agencies was established by the order signed by the country’s national leader, Heydar Aliyev, on March 23, 1997.
On this occasion, Head of the State Security Service (SSS), Lieutenant General Ali Naghiyev and members of the SSS Board on Saturday visited the grave of Azerbaijan’s national leader Heydar Aliyev in the Alley of Honors in Baku, the Service told AzVision.az. They laid a wreath at the national leader’s grave.
They also put flowers at the grave of the national leader`s wife, outstanding ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva.
Later on, the leadership of the State Security Service visited the Alley of Martyrs to pay tribute to Azerbaijan’s heroic sons who sacrificed their lives for the country’s independence and territorial integrity. They put a wreath at the Eternal Flame memorial in the Alley of Martyrs.
