Baku's usually teeming streets and bustling landmarks have come to a standstill after the Azerbaijani government tightened the special quarantine regime starting from 00:00, March 29.

In order to protect human health and prevent the spread of the coronavirus in the country, citizens over the age of 65 are not allowed to leave their homes, and access to boulevards, parks and recreation areas is restricted.

As a result of the measures taken, the number of people taking to the streets in Baku has sharply decreased.
