Austiran OC president: No danger to life of athlete injured in accident in Baku
The condition of Vanessa Shahinovich, one of the Austrian athletes severely injured in an accident at the transportation depot in the Athletes Village on June 11, has returned to normal.
President of Austrian Olympic Committee Karl Stoss said in a statement to nachrichten.at there is no danger to Vanessa’s life and that the injured athletes will continue receiving her treatment in hospital until the end of next week. “Afterwards, she can continue her treatment at home. Another injured athlete Verena Breit has been sent to Austria, too. The latter’s injury is not that serious,” said the president.
