Assistant to Azerbaijani president: No plans to resume int

The resumption of international flights, even in May, has not been envisaged in Azerbaijan yet, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, Head of Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmet Hajiyev said.

Hajiyev made the remark in Baku at a briefing of the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers on April 16, AzVision.az reports.

Hajiyev noted that passenger transportation will not be allowed during this period, except for special charter flights.

He noted that these measures are taken to prevent the import of the virus from abroad and re-infection.

"The resumption of flights between Nakhchivan and Baku can be considered. Charter flights can be carried out.

"However, these flights can be carried out taking into account the quarantine infrastructure in Baku and other places. The next decisions can be made taking into account the sanitary-epidemiological situation.
