Plane from Cairo carrying evacuated Azerbaijani citizens arrives in Baku

Plane from Cairo carrying evacuated Azerbaijani citizens arrives in Baku

A plane carrying evacuated Azerbaijani citizens from Cairo landed in Baku on Monday, Azerbaijani embassy in Egypt said.

The number of evacuated Azerbaijani citizens is 55.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on Saturday ordered the evacuation of citizens of Azerbaijan from Egypt, due unrest in the country. Instructions in connection with the evacuation were given to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan.

According to recent reports, about 750 people are killed in the riots in Cairo.
