Azerbaijani president approves law on changing names of some villages in country
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has signed an order on the execution of law dated 29 May 2015 on changing the names of some villages of Aghjabadi, Aghdam, Aghdash, Astara, Barda, Jalilabad, Gadabay, Goychay, Khachmaz, Ismaylli, Kalbajar, Kurdamir, Guba, Lachin, Terter, Ujar and Zagatala districts of the country.

The Cabinet of Ministers is within three months to prepare proposals for the conformance of Azerbaijan’s laws and presidential acts to the law on changing the names of some villages of Aghjabadi, Aghdam, Aghdash, Astara, Barda, Jalilabad, Gadabay, Goychay, Khachmaz, Ismaylli, Kalbajar, Kurdamir, Guba, Lachin, Terter, Ujar and Zagatala districts of the country. The Cabinet of Minister shall within three months to ensure the conformance of its regulatory legal acts to the law, control the conformance of regulatory legal acts of central executive authorities to the law and report within five months to the president about the execution of the law.

The Ministry of Justice is to ensure the conformance of regulatory legal acts and normative acts of central executive authorities to the law on changing the names of some villages of Aghjabadi, Aghdam, Aghdash, Astara, Barda, Jalilabad, Gadabay, Goychay, Khachmaz, Ismaylli, Kalbajar, Kurdamir, Guba, Lachin, Terter, Ujar and Zagatala districts of the country and inform the Cabinet of Minister about it.
