Azerbaijan, Armenia not to face in 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying round

The draw for the qualifying round will be held in Saint Petersburg on July 25

The Azerbaijani and Armenian national football teams will not face in the qualifying round of the 2018 FIFA World Cup due to the political situation between the two countries, according to UEFA.

The draw for the qualifying round will be held in Saint Petersburg on July 25. The World Cup 2018 will be held in 11 cities of Russia.

Note that, Azerbaijan and Armenia have long competed in different groups of the qualifying rounds of the World Cup and the European Cup.
