President of India congratulates Ilham Aliyev

President of the Republic of India Ram Nath Kovind has sent a congratulatory letter to President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, AzVision.az reports.

The letter reads:

"Your Excellency.

I am pleased to convey my sincere greetings and congratulations to you and the friendly people of Azerbaijan on the occasion of the Republic Day.

There are close cultural and historical ties between India and Azerbaijan, which is reflected in our intention to strengthen bilateral cooperation. I hope that our joint efforts will further strengthen our multifaceted cooperation.

The COVID-19 pandemic poses an unprecedented threat to humanity. India will continue to work with the international community to combat the disease.

Your Excellency, I wish you good health and happiness, and the friendly people of Azerbaijan - progress and prosperity.

Please, accept my deep respect and esteem. "
