The article reminded that more than 6,000 athletes from the 50 European National Olympic Committees, compete in 253 events in 20 sports.
“The 2015 European Games follow in the tradition of other continental games established by Olympic Committees, such as the Pan-American Games and the Asian Games,” said The Atlantic.
The European Games that kicked off in Baku June 12, will last till June 28. Baku was awarded the games by the European Olympic Committees (EOC) in December 2012.
