Azerbaijan will be represented by Lorenzo Sotomayor (64 kg). He will compete with Slovenian athlete Edin Sejdinovic in the 1/16 finals at 18:15 local time.
European champion, Olympic bronze medalist Teymur Mammadov (81 kg) will compete with British boxer Joshua Buatsi in the 1/16 finals.
Azerbaijan’s boxing team is represented in all weight categories in the competitions. The team includes 10 male and 5 female boxers.
