  Azerbaijan: 140 people fined for not wearing face masks in public transport

Some 140 people have been fined in Azerbaijan for not wearing face masks in public transport, the Interior Ministry’s Main State Traffic Police Department told AzVision.az.

As many as 1,443 people have been fined for illegally driving their vehicles during the lockdown imposed in the cities of Baku, Sumgayit, Ganja, Lankaran and Absheron district over the weekend.

A lockdown was imposed in Baku, Sumgait, Ganja, Lankaran cities and Absheron district.  All shopping malls, catering facilities, as well as pharmacies and stores were closed. The lockdown that started on Friday midnight ended until 6 a.m. local time on Monday.
