Construction of new Baku metro line launched

Construction of new Baku metro line launched

The construction of section "Khatai-Hazi Aslanov-2" of the new "green" line of the metro in Baku has started.

Companies engaged in the construction have completed the initial work in both directions, and started construction of the new site, said the Baku Metro.

"The general contractor for the construction is JSC Azertonnelmetrostroy.

Construction work will be carried out by the French Buiq and Ukrainian Construction Association Interbudmontaj, mediated by domestic company Akkord, the report says.

The construction of the new line is a long-term plan of development of Baku Metro until 2030.
