President Ilham Aliyev congratulated Vejonis on his election as Latvian president and wished him success in his future activity.
The head of state expressed confidence that bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Latvia will continue to develop successfully.
President Vejonis said in turn that the cooperation between Latvia and Azerbaijan is at a high level, noting the existence of great opportunities for further development of relations between ministries, agencies and businessmen of the two countries.
