This is explained by the fact that Sargsyan and Kocharyan came to power thanks to the occupation of Azerbaijani lands, and their power is maintained thanks to the existing conflict, the Deputy Prime Minister said.
Hasanov commented on the Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan`s speech on presidential elections in Azerbaijan.
According to him, Sargsyan, with the help of his statement related to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, tries to "score points" and to boost Armenian population`s confidence.
"Both the Armenian people and politicians are already talking about Ilham Aliyev`s accomplishments in recent years, evaluate them and use against their own government. They ask: why Azerbaijan is developing and Armenia lags behind? Sargsyan uses this card. This is an Armenian trick," Hasanov said.
The Deputy Prime Minister also criticized some international organizations, which are patronizing the Armenian occupants.
"It is interesting that those who do not fulfill international organizations` decisions are protected and supported. Nobody disturbs Armenia. But the State and the President, fulfilling all the decisions of international organizations, thinking only about the interests of people, and day by day improving the country`s situation, are not provided with such a support," Hasanov said.
Speaking about Vladimir Putin`s visit to Azerbaijan, the Deputy Prime Minister said that the visit is a high appreciation of Azerbaijani President`s and the whole government`s accomplishments.
"You know that the national leader Heydar Aliyev said that the key to the solution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is in the hands of Russia. We believe that it is the same today," Hasanov said.
He went on to add that the Azerbaijani government hopes and believes that after Vladimir Putin witnessed the development in Azerbaijan, a positive attitude to the Russian people, and a good attitude towards Russia in general, there will be some changes, and this process is activated and will be aimed the settlement of the conflict.
"We are clearly sure that only the President of Azerbaijan will be able to solve this problem. We believe that Azerbaijani President will be able to settle the conflict as he was able to achieve the country`s development," the Deputy Prime Minister said.
The conflict between the two South Caucasus countries began in 1988 when Armenia made territorial claims against Azerbaijan.
Armenian armed forces have occupied 20 percent of Azerbaijan since 1992, including the Nagorno-Karabakh region and seven surrounding districts.
Azerbaijan and Armenia signed a ceasefire agreement in 1994. The co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group, Russia, France and the U.S. are currently holding peace negotiations.
Armenia has not yet implemented the U.N. Security Council`s four resolutions on the liberation of the Nagorno-Karabakh and the surrounding regions.
