Khamenei says US keen to destroy Iran`s nuclear industry entirely
Iran`s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei announced on June 23 that the U.S. is to distroy Iran`s nuclear industry entirely.
He also said that the period of implementation of nuclear agreement shouldn`t be 10-12 years, but much shorter.

Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei on Tuesday received heads of the three branches of government, officials and a number of senior directors of various state and military organs.

The meeting was on the sixth day of the auspicious holy month of Ramadhan.

President Hassan Rouhani addressed the audience in the beginning of the meeting.

He then continued by urging every person to assist the government and officials and stipulated three points in regard to the nuclear issue. First whatever the leader states in public meetings, is exactly what is said in private meetings with the president and other responsible officials, Irna reported.

Second, what Ayatollah Khamenei said in his introductory remarks was that the Iranian negotiating team with honor, bravery, and piety is involved in moving the country ahead against numerous parties in the talks.

The audience of his third point were those who are criticizing the nuclar talks and said, `I do not oppose criticism and deem it necessary and helpful. However, it is a fact that it is easier to criticize than take action....This should not stop criticism. We need to be aware that the nuclear team knows certain issues under criticism but some necessities push them to certain actions.`

On direct talks with the US, the Leader said the issue dates back to previous government during which Americans despatched mediators to Tehran asking for negotiations.

Summerizing the process of nuclear talks, Ayatollah Khamenei stated, `Studying the process of Americans` demands shows that their target is uprooting Iran`s nuclear industry, destroying the country`s nuclear nature and transforming it to a caricature and a picture without substance.`

The Leader referred to the country`s real need to 20,000 MW nuclear energy and said, `While attempting to destory the nuclear industry and denying Iranians of plenty advantages of the industry, they intend to continue the pressures and keep the sanctions in place.`

Also saying that the US government needs the nuclear agreement with Iran, he added, `If they can reach their targets in the talks, they can secure a big victory beause they can bring the independent-seeking Iranian nation to submission and defeat a nation which could serve as an example for other countries. All their bargainings and breaking promisses is to attain these goals.`

`From very beginning, we have said that we want oppressive sanctions to be removed. Of course, we are ready to give something in return, provided that the nuclear industry is not stopped and not damaged.`
