Armenian athlete hospitalized in Baku

Armenian athlete hospitalized in Baku

The Armenian athlete who competed in the first European Games in Baku has been hospitalized.

Russian athlete Anna Kharitonova and Armenia`s Sosa Balasanyan encountered in the weight category below 52 kg on 22 June. During the encounter which ended with Russian athlete`s victory 4:0, the Armenian athlete was injured in the neck. Sosa Balasanyan was hospitalized with the suspision of brain trauma.

The injured athlete received the highly qualified medical aid, AzVision.az reports citing the press attache of the Armenian delegation in European Games Karen Gilayan. He said, Balasanyan has no health problems now: "During the ring she was injured in the neck and was provided urgent medical aid. She has already returned home".
