Azerbaijan to spend $ 86 mln on Formula-1
"More than 11 000 foreign fans will arrive in Baku."
In 2016, the first stage will be held in Azerbaijan, the race will take place on the streets of Baku.

Sports Minister Azad Rahimov said that they will actively support the young pilots, he does not exclude that in the future they will create a national team, Oxu.Az reports quoting f1report.ru.

"Of course, we would like the stages of the competition to pass under the colours of the country, our drivers, teams and sponsors to participate in the race, - the Minister of Sport of Azerbaijan. - We see very great potential in this project.

I am sure that after some time, we will actively deal with that project. I have no doubt that our country would be interested to participate in the most prestigious racing series."

Sports Minister also noted that, perhaps in the future the race in Azerbaijan will be held at night under floodlights. As for the stage in 2016, he is confident that more than 11 000 foreign fans will arrive in Baku.

It is unknown how much the contract with the head of management at the Grand Prix Formula 1 costs. Sports Minister says that it is a commercial secret.

"In fact, I can not disclose the terms of the contract, since it is a commercial secret, but I can say that we will have to spend from $66 to $86 mln", the Minister of Sports of Azerbaijan said.
