Azerbaijan ups drinks export by 1.6 times

Azerbaijan ups drinks export by 1.6 times

Azerbaijan exported alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages worth $16.9m in January-July 2013.

This is 1.6 times (in monetary terms) more than the exports for 1 August last year ($10.6m), it says in a report of the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan.

Alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages accounted for 0.12% of total volume of export as of 1 August 2013 against 0.09% as of 1 January of current year and 0.07% against 1 August 2012.

In his turn, import of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks totaled $39.1m against $28.8m in January-July 2012 (a growth of 1.35 times).
