Azerbaijan wants unbiased position from new co-rapporteur - delegation head
We want the new co-rapporteur to take an unbiased position toward Azerbaijan, head of the Azerbaijani delegation to PACE Samad Seyidov, said while commenting on the appointment of a new co-rapporteur on Azerbaijan.
Mr Pedro Agramunt’s powers as co-rapporteur on Azerbaijan have expired and the Monitoring Committee appointed Mr Agustin Conde to this position, Seyidov said.

“He has just been appointed, and of course it is for the Monitoring Committee to take any steps. Agustin Code operates at PACE, we’re unfamiliar with him, he is known for his tough stance,” noted the head of the delegation.

Samad Seyidov also added that Conde may visit Azerbaijan in the near future to learn the existing situation in the country but ruled out that this issue is not the agenda.
