Number of foreigners visiting Azerbaijan increases by nearly 10 percent
The number of foreigners, who visited Azerbaijan in the first half of 2013, increased by 9.9 percent (108,130 people) compared with the same period of 2012 and amounted to 1,196,953 people, the press-service of Azerbaijan`s Ministry of Culture and Tourism said on Wednesday.
Out of the total number of foreign nationals some 418,012 are citizens of Russia, 400,542 people - Georgia, 173,861 people - Turkey, 70,254 people - Iran, 8,298 people - Europe, and 125,986 people - nationals of other countries.

In comparison with the same period of the last year, the number of citizens of the CIS countries, who visited Azerbaijan, increased by 18.7 percent, from the European Union - increased by 22.9 percent, from Asia - by 7.3 percent, from Africa - 37.5, and there was an increase of 19.2 percent in number of visitors from Australia.
