22 605 UXOs were detected and neutralized, Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) told.
487 mine specialists along with 116-person support staff are carrying out the operations, using 6 mechanical demining machines and 36 mine-detection dogs.
To date, a total of 291,404,465 square meters of area has been cleared. The neutralized mines and UXOs are numbered at 712,877.
The clearing operations are continuing in the districts of Ganja, Aghdam, Khojavand, Lankaran, Aghstafa, Fuzuli, Goranboy, Tovuz, Garadagh, Absheron, and Terter.
In June 2015, 2 mine/UXO accidents were recorded.
