We have always considered ourselves part of Europe, and if we had not been forced to look for other alternatives, we would have used our advantages for the benefit of Europe, said Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
"We call on the European Union to deliver on its promises to our country, like full membership and the issue of refugees. In this case, we can work together more closely and effectively."
Erdogan also said that Turkey is determined to integrate into Europe and is trying to build its future with Europe.
