Families of missing Armenian servicemen hold protest

Parents and relatives of missing servicemen in Armenia have staged protests in front of the Echmiadzin military unit, AzVision.az reports.

The protesters complained that they were not given any information about the missing servicemen.

"34 servicemen are missing. We are not given any information. The military says they do not have the authority to provide any information,” said one of the parents.

"I have not known what to say to my grandchildren and daughter-in-law for 42 days. Three minors are waiting for my son. Let them bring our children back safe and sound, just as they took them. "Where is our state, what is it thinking about?" cried another parent.

Protesters said that a relative missing during the war was actively involved in the fighting and was not even provided with the necessary basic military equipment: "The children were taken to war. But why were they not provided with armored vests?"

“Our children were serving in Gafan. But they appeared in Zangilan. Now we can't find them," said another.
