  Russian peacekeepers defuse about 5,000 explosives in Karabakh

Troops of Russia’s peacekeeping contingent have cleared of mines more than 156 hectares of territory and defused about 5,000 explosive devices in Nagorno-Karabakh, the Russian Defence Ministry said in a statement.

“In total, engineering units of Russia’s peacekeeping contingent demined over 156 hectares of territory, nearly 40 km of roads, 375 residential buildings and social facilities, and defused about 5,000 explosives,” the statement said.
