Armenia transferring lands of Karahunj village, hydroelectric power station to Azerbaijan

Armenia is transferring the lands of Karahunj village of Syunik district and a hydroelectric power station on the territory of the district to Azerbaijan, said Gorus deputy mayor Menua Ovsepyan, AzVision.az reports citing Sputnik Armenia.

“All that remains is for the [Armenian] government to hand over us to Azerbaijan. We still do not understand the logic behind the transfer of our lands. Karahunj gardens are very far from the border, but it seems that according to the map of Armenia’s Prime Minister [Pashinyan], they are on the border with Azerbaijan,” Ovsepyan said.

Ovsepyan accused the Armenian government of not informing them about it. “It seems that our government does not exist,” he added.
