Patriarch Kirill calls for consideration of religious leaders’ role on Karabakh talks

Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill called for the consideration of the role of religious leaders in Karabakh talks.

Speaking to Rossiya 1 TV channel, Kirill reminded that on his initiative, Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II and Chairman of the Caucasus Muslim Office Allahshukur Pashazade held several discussions on the Karabakh problem, and the parties agreed to continue contacts, AzVision.az reports.

"I think that the main result of the talks is that the two religious leaders, who are backed by the majority of the people, talk to each other. This conversation was very quiet, without any accusations or tensions,” he added.
