  Russian peacekeeping contingent discloses number of POWs returned to Baku, Yerevan

To date, 55 Armenian and 15 Azerbaijani citizens have been returned to their homeland through the mediation of Russian peacekeepers, said Colonel Dmitry Perepelkin, deputy head of the Russian peacekeeping contingent in Nagorno-Karabakh, AzVision.az reports.  

The colonel recalled that Azerbaijan and Armenia another exchange of prisoners a few days ago thanks to the efforts of the Russian peacekeeping contingent.

“One serviceman was returned to Baku, and five Armenian servicemen were transferred to Yerevan. In total, over 55 Armenian and 15 Azerbaijani citizens have been returned to their homeland so far,” Perepelkin added.
