Turkish army captain Ertug Guler was killed in an anti-terror operation Claw- Eagle-2 launched by the Turkish army in the Gara region of northern Iraq, the country's Ministry of National Defence said a statement.
The captain was wounded in a clash with terrorists on February 10, and despite the efforts of doctors, it was not possible to save his life.
Turkish Defence Minister Hulusi Akar expressed his condolences to the martyr's family.
Two Turkish soldiers were killed and four others were wounded in yesterday's operation.
