A mosque in Giyasli village of Azerbaijan’s Aghdam district was destroyed and desecrated by Armenians during 27 years of occupation. The Armenians turned the mosque into an animal stable. The occupiers set fire to the mosque before leaving Aghdam.

The mosque was built in the 18th century. Upon the decision (dated 2 August 2001) of the Cabinet of Minister of Azerbaijan, the mosque was registered as an architectural monument of local significance.
