The purpose of the 3 + 3 platform proposed by Azerbaijan is to take safe steps towards lasting peace and stability in the region, energy, trade and logistics projects, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said at a joint press conference with Georgian Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani.
"As I said earlier, we understand Georgia's restrained approach to cooperation in the 3 + 3 format. However, a dialogue, especially on territorial integrity, can be difficult at the bilateral level. It can be easier to start a multilateral dialogue. We need to respect Georgia's decisions on this issue. We need to be more flexible for the 3 + 3 format and other mechanisms, "Cavusoglu added.
