 11,000 Armenian servicemen wounded in Second Karabakh war

As many as 11 Armenian servicemen were wounded in the Second Karabakh war (from late September to early November 2020), said Colonel Gegham Pashikyan, deputy chief of the military medical department at Armenia’s Defense Ministry, AzVision.az reports.

According to the colonel, 55% are minor injuries. 36% are moderately wounded. 2% were extremely severely wounded and 7% were seriously wounded.

He noted that 440 helicopter flights were operated for the evacuation of the wounded and sick during the hostilities, and over 5,000 surgeries were performed.
