Erdogan said Turkey attached great importance to cooperating with allies against terrorism and would support France in dealing with its nationals seeking to join extremist groups. He also mentioned Turkey’s homegrown militant groups – the Kurdistan Workers’ Party and the Revolutionary People`s Liberation Party-Front – and their targeting of Turkish diplomats abroad.
Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu is among those who have identified Daesh as the likely perpetrators of Monday’s attack in Suruc, a town close to the Syrian border.
Earlier, Greece, China, Spain, Canada, the UN, Britain, Germany, Pakistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, the U.S. and Kosovo offered messages of support to Turkey.
