Number of Azerbaijani migrants in Russia announced
As of the first half of 2015, there are over 550,000 Azerbaijani migrants in Russia, according to the statistics of migrants announced by Head of the Federal Migration Service (FMS) Konstantin Romodanovsky at a press conference on July 22.
More than 10 million foreigners have arrived Russia since early 2015, said Romodanovsky, adding that there are over 1,000.000 refugees from Ukraine in Russia.

Announcing the statistics of migrants in the first six months of 2015, head of FMS mentioned that Uzbekistan ranks first for the number of migrants in Russia, while Ukraine ranks second. According to him, currently 2,145,260 citizens of Uzbekistan and 1,601,706 Ukrainian citizens are living in Russia.

Romodanovsky said that the statistics excludes the refugees from south-eastern Ukraine. “Those refugees are not included in this list. This number exceeds one million”.

Note that, for the number of migrants Tajikistan ranks third with 992,170 people, Kazakhstan fourth with 709,640 people, Azerbaijan fifth with 552,593, Moldova sixth with 543,836, Armenia seventh 534,851, Kyrgyzstan eighth with 521,338 people.
