A group of rioters who were gathered in the Tarsus district of the province of Mersin to protest Monday`s suicide bomb attack in Suruç which killed 32 activists and injured more than 100, opened fire early on Thursday morning on the riot police who intervened in the protest. The firefight injured 11 people, six of them police officers.
