Turkish FM meets UN Sec-Gen in Geneva

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu tweeted about his meeting with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, AzVision.az reports.

This meeting was held at the Palais des Nations in Geneva in a format known as 5+1 on finding a lasting solution to the decades-old dispute on Cyprus with the participation of the Cypriot parties and the guarantor countries – Turkey, Greece, and the UK.

Turkish FM highlighted that the solution to the Cyprus problem should be focused on the equal status and sovereignty of the two sides at the international level.

"Peace and stability for the whole region are possible only with the cooperation of the two states on the island," Cavusoglu added.
